2013 was not a great year for me hunting specimen fish as after my accident i lost 4 months as i was unable to go to sea but still finished the season off with a total of 71 Irish specimen fish recorded with clients from 4 different countries from Europe sharing the spoils and 10 different species so i think we done OK considering the circumstances.
Congradulations to Ritchard Meeder from the Netherlands who smashed the Irish,British,Dutch, and the European record for a magnifisent spurdog fish of 24lb 14oz just 6 weeks after young Tom Walsh from dublin broke them all with a tremendouse spurdog fish of 24lb 5oz i really dont know where we will end up with this particuliar species as thats at least 7 time that the record has fallen from Red Bay so maybe 2014 will throw a even bigger fish up we will have to see.
There was also two recaptures of fish that were tagged from Predator 1 common skate tagged in 2009 and 1 beagle shark tagged 2012 so we are doing something right.
All thats left for me to do is to thank all the anglers who fished with me the past year including my specimen clubs and all my friends from the Netherlands,Germany,Belgium, and the UK
